Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John

Kynnoch (Navigator) – Jesse

Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Jon

Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin

GM – Neil

Since nearly destroying the Heretics Bane, by running into Footfall, the crew has been left to their own devices. During a night of drunken revelry with Orros, Venari suggested it would be cool to have his own servo-skull. Always looking to curry favor Orros contacted the Adeptus Mechanicus and arranged for a meeting. When the Tech Priest showed up Venari was confused but then remembers the conversation (kind of). A few days later a servo-skull is delivered to Venari, who is suitably obnoxious.

Emmaus is somewhat despondent over the condition of the ship. He has spent many long hours supervising the repairs and finally decides that a shopping trip might lighten his mood. He finds a space pawnshop in an out of the way corner of Footfall. The proprietor is able to find him a bolt pistol with a few extra clips.   He also intimates that he is always looking for Imperial item and is willing to pay a good price. On his return walk to the ship people give Emmaus a wide berth when they notice the bolt pistol.

Kynnoch, despite his flat world-weary demeanor, looks to make a splash with a purchase of his own. In what appears to be a very questionable cargo area he meets with someone who can only be construed as a smuggler. After a brief but tense (for the smuggler) negotiation, Kynnoch is now in possession of an Eldar holosuit. Hopefully it works because when Jarnan finds out………..

Speaking of Jarnan, he makes a trip to one of the local temples where he has a contact. The priest is excited that he has been able to acquire the item that Jarnan was looking for. It’s a power sword that essentially bursts into flame, very much Jarnan’s aesthetic.   He makes some veiled threats about Venari but it’s probably just talk, crazy missionary.

Venari also makes a drunken deal for a bunch of auspex scanners but when they are delivered they find boxes of junk. Venari is livid but doesn’t remember for days that the servo skull was recording everything. When he finally realizes he goes through the footage and then grabs Kynnoch, who is less then enthused about the proposition, to go and look for the perpetrators. What they find is an empty storefront. Venari clips the guys picture from the servo-skull and sends it to Orros with orders to kill the guy if he can be found.

Everything else goes smoothly and the repairs are nearly complete.

Meanwhile Jarnan decides to follow up on the strange contact who delivered a data slate from the Inquisition. The inquisitor wants to observe the heresy of rouge traders in the far-flung parts of the universe. Jarnan agrees but notes that Venari has agreed to take a job that will potentially allow Jarnan to burn heretics. The inquisitor is intrigued and says that Venari, if he is truly faithful could get a writ from the inquisition itself.
