Upon returning to the ship and finding the Captain absent Jarnan, with Emmaus in tow, goes to collect him and find out what he’s been doing. After a little verbal jousting Jarnan and Venari exchange information and decide to pay a visit to the fence, Othiel. First the command crew stops at the ship and grab samples of a few illicit stims they happen to have in storage as a potential bargaining chip.

Othiel is located in the residential area which is located about 30 floors down in the sub basement area. As they travel down each level gets progressively rougher and uncared for. Stepping off the elevator their sense are assaulted by stale musty air that has been run through recyclers who have given their last.

Navigating the labyrinthian hallways Jarnan pulls up short when he hears footsteps drawing near. Confronted by a gang of petty thugs the crack command staff makes quick work of them. After his less than stellar performance however, Venari makes a mental note to work on his sword technique and have his luxurious fur cloak hemmed up.

Proceeding the rest of the way unmolested the crew finds themselves confronted by a large metal, secured door and an intercom. With nothing else to do Venari pushes the button and is greeted by the salty fence. After a bit of cajoling Othiel lets Venari and his crew into a small antechamber. Taking no chances Othiel himself is positioned behind a wall of bulletproof glass in another room. He is able to confirm the information that they already possess and proposes a deal. Othiel is ultimately only concerned with his own hide and wants the Rogue Trader and his crew to retrieve the payment owed to Zarkov. Failing that to return the artifact as Zarkov blames Othiel for the failure of the original deal. After providing the probable heading of Harstack to Venari, the crew heads back to the ship to begin preparations for pursuit.
