Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John
Kayne Lomelin (Arch Militant) – Jesse
Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Besse
Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin
GM – Neil

After meeting with the Adeptus Mechanicus Venari begins to have the ship prepped for departure to Footfall. Kayne expresses concerns over Jarnan and whether or not he can be trusted. The missionary seems to be playing both sides of the fence. Meanwhile Emmaus is having a conversation with Jarnan about the mission. Emmaus leaves confused as Jarnan seems to be onboard with the mission, leaving things to Venari’s judgment.

Before meeting with the Ministorum representative the team tries to find out what they can about him. Turns out that High Priest Karnot Staand dislikes Venari personally. Negotiations will be tough as Staand feels like House Hallerman already owes the Ministorum something as they granted the House’s Warrant ages ago. Attempting to skew things in his favor Venari tries to acquire a bottle of the Priest’s favorite Amasec as an offering of peace, to no avail. The High Priest is an asshole but Venari plays the game and agrees on principal to retrieve the artifact, not explicitly saying for the Ecclesiarchy.

With the meetings out of the way, the command crew try to find out as much as they can about Raven Harsack. Jarnan sends out his young acolytes while Venari leans on his underworld contacts. Venari turns up very little as most of the agents of House Harstack are pretty tight lipped and loyal to the cause. Jarnan on the other hand finds out that Harstack is under pressure to restore the honor of his house. They have no disposable resources but do have a cruiser under their command. It seems that dealing in xenos artifacts is not Harstack’s preferred methodology but their backs are to the wall.

The Heretics Bane makes the jump through the warp and all of the crew has strange, twisted dreams. Upon waking they remember the phrase “The Blind Leap”.
