Jack bribes the clerk to physical copies of maps of the area, since he is proving less then helpful. As they are looking the maps over they notice that the measurements don’t match up for the area in question. The longitude and latitude lines on all of the maps are off. On one map it could be a mistake but on all of them….seems like something shady is going on. Erin takes pictures with his phone since they can’t take the maps.
With this new knowledge in hand the guys head back out to the area with go-pros at the ready. Just as they’re getting into the area the route disappears from the gps and the spot where they thought the road veered off is gone. Not wanting to get lost in another dimension randy flies the drone up and down the road and out into the fields to see if anything happens. It’s all gone.
Stymied in this latest adventure they head back to town to grab some food and decide what to do next. Ultimately they decide to send a postcard back to the address on the weird postcard Randy got with the address for the local Dunkin’ Donuts. Then at the DD they hung another postcard with the number of a burner phone so that person could contact them.
Then things settle down and life gets back to normal. Well that is for everybody but Randy. After a few days Randy gets attacked by some goon in the parking lot at work. The guy is looking for something and Randy notices a weird tattoo on his arm. Probably concussed, Randy calls Jack and Erin to tell them what happened and they convince him to call an ambulance. Jack heads to the hospital to meet him and Erin heads up after work. They spend the night watching over Randy while he sleeps.
