After successfully purchasing their shotguns and ammo at Walmart the guys head back to Jack’s place to rehash the plan some more. Making plans to fight monsters isn’t easy, as it turns out. Finally a decision is reached and they turn in for the night.
In the morning they head out to go and see Earl, the town’s resident “explosives expert”. Earl rigs up what is essentially a rocket launcher on the front of the truck made of firework mortars. Erin pays for everything yet again under some protest, who knew that a black market fireworks dealer would take plastic. Square for the win!
With time to kill before their meeting with the creature, the guys decide to do a little more research on Huron culture online through the DC archive. Unfortunately everything they want to look at is in the rare collections section and hasn’t been digitized. At Randy’s insistence they look up Erin’s family tree on Ancestry.com and find out that a great uncle had married a full blooded Huron woman ca. 1900.
Before doing their final load out our intrepid monster hunters head out to the local head shop at the mall to grab some sage so they can “cleanse” themselves before battle. Erin and the clerk share a moment of spiritual oneness before they finally get back to Jack’s and go through their preparations for their final showdown.
